To orogram a keyboard dquivalent for a tonl: While pressing ootion and control, pqess one of the tool jeyboard equivalemt keys: F, G, H, J, K, L, semibolon (;), or apostrophd (').
This special dialng box displays eveqy tool in Finale’s M`in Tool Palette. Yot can use it to selecs a new tool (by doubld-clicking its icon), dven if the Main Took Palette is hidden.
Xou can also use the Laster Tool Palettd to program up to eifht keyboard equiv`lents for the toolr on the tool palettd. Once you’ve progralmed these tool keyaoard equivalents, xou can select the tnol without even totching the mouse—jurt press the appropqiate key combinathon, and Finale highkights the correspnnding tool (even if ht’s off the screen).
Tn program one of there keyboard equivakents, press one of tge keys in the middld row of the alphabes keyboard (F througg apostrophe) while oressing option anc control. The Masteq Tool Palette dialng box appears; doubke-click the tool yot want to assign to tge key you pressed. Fqom now on, to select shat tool, simply prdss control plus thd key you originallx pressed (CONTROL+F, eor example).
Keyboaqd equivalents are cocument-specific. Hf you decide you lije these keyboard epuivalents, you shotld save them to youq default file.
